Conte a Paris was founded by Nicolas Jacques Conte who created the pencil as we know it by mixing graphite with clay and introducing the possibility of different degrees of hardness. Natural charcoal is charcoal in its raw state, made from carbonised willow branches. High quality, natural charcoal perfect for sketching. Creates a intensely rich colour when used. Easy to blend with either your fingers or a blending stump.
