Description

Derwent’s Pastel Pencils provide all the subtle beauty of a pastel, with the convenience of a pencil. Dust is kept to a minimum, and they can be sharpened just like any other pencil. You have more control over your work: a sharp point lends itself to outlines and more intricate detail, while allowing it to become more blunt gives a wider coverage.

This is a specially-curated set of 12 nature-inspired colours. It’s been created in collaboration with the National Trust to raise funds for the restoration of the Derwent River, a programme that is part of the Riverlands project, which you can read about here. The pencils are presented in a sturdy tin embossed with the Derwent logo. The package artwork is by Irish artist Claudine O’Sullivan – she used Pastel pencils to create a delicate Emperor Dragonfly.

The soft, powdery texture produces a smooth, velvety finish and blends perfectly. They’re also water-soluble.

Tin of 12 contains one each of Process Yellow, Violet, Cyan, Pea Green, Carbon Black, Titanium White, Mid green, Tangerine, Cerulean Blue, Naples Yellow, Raspberry and Venetian Red.
