Description
S.T.Dupont began making luxury goods for travellers in Rue Dieu in Paris, in 1872. But it wasn’t until 1973, at the request of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, that they made their first pen. With hindsight, it was probably an obvious thing to do. They were well respected for their lighters, which are a combination of precision mechanisms and jewellery-grade finishes, made to be stylish accessories. The same skills and craftsmanship translate perfectly to making pens.
Solid and simple, the D-Initial is an homage to the original Classique pen. The shiny black lacquer barrel contrasts nicely against the shiny polished gold cap and trim. For extra practicality, the clip is internally sprung, to attach to even quite thick pockets without risking damage.
Fountain pen with super-smooth stainless steel nib, uses standard International cartridges, so you’ll always have plenty of options for ink. Optional converter for use with bottled ink.
141mm long capped, 126mm uncapped, 11mm wide. Weighs 40g. Doesn’t post.
