Description
S. T. Dupont began making luxury goods for travellers in Rue Dieu in Paris, in 1872. But it wasn’t until 1973, at the request of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, that they made their first pen. With hindsight, it was probably an obvious thing to do. They were well respected for their lighters, which are a combination of precision mechanisms and jewellery-grade finishes, made to be stylish accessories. The same skills and craftsmanship translate perfectly to making pens.
The polished metal outer of the Defi features large cut-away sections to show the inner finishes – available in a range of styles from composites to leather. The tip extends and retracts with a twist, while the pocket clip is internally sprung, making it durable and practical.
140mm long, 10mm wide, weighs 38g.
