S. T. Dupont began making luxury goods for travellers in Rue Dieu in Paris, in 1872. But it wasn’t until 1973, at the request of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, that they made their first pen. With hindsight, it was probably an obvious thing to do. They were well respected for their lighters, which are a combination of precision mechanisms and jewellery-grade finishes, made to be stylish accessories. The same skills and craftsmanship translate perfectly to making pens.
The Odyssey is an utterly stunning special edition pen, limited to just 999 pieces. The brass barrel is coated in an iridescent galactic blue lacquer with extraordinary depth, highlighted by palladium-coated trim modelled in the manner of a rocket ship.
Fitted with a liquid ink refill, it is presented in a premium black lacquer gift box.
